EURO 2004 - FOOTBALL AND ATOMS

.....I thought I had heard and seen it all, but as I tried to lay my pen to rest and find a bit of alternative respite from decoding archetypal symbols, I found myself in the middle of Euro 2004 and football matches in Portugal. A logo of EUFA kept jumping out at me from the television screen, which I found incredibly irritating. I generally do not like symbols and geometry that jump out at you, because one suspects someone, is trying to impress something upon you unsuspectingly! Got to keep your wits about you in case someone invites you unsuspectingly to a light show in a "tent" and gives you an unwanted agreement! The logo 'came out' and 'went back' so quickly it was hard to say what it entailed, so I checked the logo out on the EUFA site and was rather astonished to see something virtually similar to ..Anu of Hydrogen! I had only just finished pondering whether this Anu, was not the so-called "theta quanta" that Spirits unsuspectingly had stuck to them in INC.1, when they were invited to a "light show" in a "tent" for something deeply mysterious and religious! Could this be all just coincidental: the UEFA logo just happening to show - the heart, the geometric football and the seven dots? There curiously on the UEFA site was also a cartoon character with a snub nose and closed fist and sporting the number 04! Not back to the La Marche faces (Vol. II) and Stan Tennen's formation of the Hebrew alphabet (Vol. III) I groaned, after all I had just finished with all those curious open and closed hands. Pure co-incidence? Football as a religion perhaps, two dualistic sides fighting it out, with the king of the old year dreading his younger opponent and king of the New Year? 23 million people apparently watched the football matches in the UK and many more presumably throughout Europe, so did they all get the point - football appears to be evolving! To quote Arnold Mandell: "football is not a game but a religion a metaphysical island of fundamental truth."

Not knowing anything much about football other than the unavoidable continuing story of Beckham and "Posh" (what is that curious red band on Beckham's wrist? - not the red band of the Twins of Tamar I hope and the first born argument recounted in Vol. III!): I checked out the origins of the game apparently 200BC during the Han dynasty of China: " curiouser and curiouser" said Alice. Their game was called Tsu chu (Tsu means roughly "to kick" and chu denotes a ball made of stuffed leather). Chinese emperors took part in these games, which was perhaps another version of boxing matches for kings of the Old and New Year in Bronze Age Greece, which decided virility of the GE and the right to continue in leadership. Socrates was to remark to his pupil Simmias: "My dear boy, the real earth when viewed from above is supposed to look like one of those balls made out of twelve pieces of skin sewn together." I have covered the quote of Socrates in connection with the UVG 120 GRID in volume I (p.31). Where is this going I asked myself, if not to sex tales and Nature gods or rigged games (as theatre earth is). Sol Campbell's goal looked fair to me.

The Football Association (FA) in Britain was founded at the Freemason's Tavern, Great Queen Street London. The same address as the Freemasons Grand Temple with its curious symbolic floor laid out in phallic style, with comparison to a LATE MINOAN gem !!! (page 171, Vol. I). I note Tony Blair has packed off (Teflon) Mandleson to Brussels: one can only guess his mission (hopefully not another Dome). ... As I watch the European Parliament flying like the Minaoan Crane bird to and fro between Brussels and Strasbourg (at a cost of £1 million per MEP and £40,000 per book), I am reminded of the sleeping black panther in the living room. Do you awaken it, by kicking a football at its head and ask it exactly what it's doing there, or do you tip-toe quietly around it, for fear it might wake up and mess up your living room and gobble you up! It seems man is prepared to put up with the sleeping giant, provided his safe world remains intact, even though one day it may destroy everything he holds dear. I think it would be pertinent to ask the European Union what the EUFA logo was all about, if not the simple question of whether it is re-building a Platonic Republic or Atlantis (Crete) and the Minoan Empire under the Rosicrucian World Order of the Rose......
